The job holder is expected to be an independent and objective body that reviews, monitors and manages investment asset related projects and/or issues in asset management and asset liability management. 

Where appropriate, the job holder shall provide advice to and via the Chief Investment Officer and other senior executive in general on investment proposals, market opportunities, and provide constructive suggestions and ownership to maintain sound investment governance, and act as a 1st LOD for investment management relevant matters.

In this role, you will:

The role holder's key tasks will include some or all of the following:

·Manage investment assets in alignment with investment policy, investment management mandate, risk mandates and risk appetite

·Directly execute fixed-income security and mutual fund transactions according to investment authority limits for in-house investments.

·Propose Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) for new funds, and update SAAs and TAAs for existing funds;

·Draft and continuously update entrusted investment mandates with third-party asset managers;

·Take responsibility to update investment-related projects, procedures, and manuals, as well as third party investment mandates and contracts;

·Support the Product and Actuarial team in the product development process;

·Conduct market research to support tactical allocation decision and the economic assumption setting process;

·Maintain a rapport working relationship with internal functions, and external stakeholders;

·Update the Investment Management Mandate, department policies, procedures and manuals and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external requirements;

·Assist the Chief Investment Officer and other senior stakeholders on investment related matters and provide timely and professional investment advice.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·Post-graduate degree in Investment, Finance or related discipline

·Relevant work experience of at least five to ten years

·Pass the practitioner exams for securities industry and fund management industry

·Profound knowledge of the China investment market and instruments

·Ability to work under pressure in a complex matrix organization

·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

·Excellent judgment and decision-making skills – able to make business aligned and timely decisions

·Good master of verbal and written English

·Good computer skills in MS-Office, Wind, and Hudson Dealing system of advantage

·CFA designation is a plus
