Job Description:

A. Accountabilities

● Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key government organisations which are of relevance to the company's businesses in China (NDRC, CAAC, etc)

● Strengthen and maintain an effective liaison network with key government officials at both local and central levels.

● Promote/establish Airbus’ image/credibility among the key government organisations via efficient communications in both ways.

B. Main activities

- Strategic activities

● Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key government organisations which are of relevance to the company's businesses in China (NDRC, CAAC, etc)

● Monitor and analyse PRC government policies, plans and regulatory environment at high levels which could have an impact on company's businesses in China; explore areas where both China and Airbus have mutual interest for cooperation; provide advice/support assist in the development of the company's business strategy in China and help to integrate potential impacts and considerations into relevant business plans.

● Provide guidance/advice to other functions in Airbus to follow relevant protocols/formalities required by the Chinese governmental or public organisations when conducting business in China.

- Client related activities

● Foster the communications with authorities to support the deliveries and sales

● Develop and maintain a mapping and network of relative administrative stakeholders in Central and Provincial government

- Operational activities

● Daily communication with central government bodies including NDRC, CAAC, MFA, MOFCOM, MOT and other central/regional government and authorities

● Conduct political analysis and anticipate political issues, risks and opportunities develop in airbus China

- Developmental activities

● Experience sharing and knowledge sharing, trainings

C. Outputs

- Client related Outputs

● as interface with NDRC (negotiation of CAS package; process optimization of government approval) contribute to the commercial result and annual delivery plan of Airbus China

● as interface with CAAC on various topics (airworthiness, flight test, ferry flights…) Support securing the A/C delivery in China and FAL operation in Tianjin

- Operational Outputs

● Information and monitoring of public policies in China which may impact the operation and development of the company in this region ; Elaborate and propose country strategies.

● Risk management for any unpredictable cases.

- Developmental Outputs

● Knowledge sharing (KM) between senior staff and the juniors

D. Qualifications

- Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree or above; 10 years above public affairs / public relations related working experience

● Prior working experience in the relevant government organisation preferred

● A keen understanding of the policy, regulatory, and geopolitical landscape in China

● Strong oral and written communications skills, fluent in English and Chinese

● Open-minded and respect cultural diversity; a team player and self-driven at work

- Ability

Soft Skills:

Proficient in GA and PA with extraordinarily resourceful with government relations and Media;

Broad horizon with full understanding of China and good knowledge of Europe thanks to rich overseas and domestic experiences;

Learn fast, adaptive and skillful in interpersonal relations;

Solid knowledge of international and Chinese environment
