AMNC - Global Communications

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC), that is held in June 25-27 in the city of Dalian this year.

Internship Duration

1 April – mid of July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Forum office in Beijing

Requirements

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.

Throughout the internship, you will have the unique opportunity to:

Gain invaluable insights into a breadth of forward-thinking and innovative developments to the global challenges and agendas. Gain hands-on experience by working alongside experts and getting involved in real work. Build meaningful professional relationships and valuable career network

The intern will join the office for a three-month period during the spring of 2024. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7,500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.

Global Communications

This role presents a unique opportunity to establish contacts with the world’s leading media organizations, including CNBC, BBC and CCTV. It allows you to stay informed about the latest developments within the international media community. Additionally, you will gain valuable media experience by participating in this top-level global event, learning how the Media Engagement team efficiently interacts with both the media and the general public. Responsibilities include:

Handling the registration of media representatives from around the globe. Facilitating journalist visa paperwork and processing Supporting preparations for the pre-event press conference Assisting with operations on Chinese social media Assisting with Media Engagement team administration and document translation. Assisting with media events on-site at AMNC

Qualifications and Skills ：

Should be a senior undergraduate or postgraduate student majoring in communications, public relations, or journalism Must demonstrate great resilience under pressure Should be detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility Must be available for a minimum of four working days per week
