We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Architecture Manager .
Business: Wealth & Personal Banking IT
Principal responsibilities
Accountable for the definition, obtaining governed approvals, and rolling maintenance of roadmaps for in-scope products and service platform architecture, with look aheads maintained at required intervals. Responsible for the governance and design authority for the development of the products and services in line with the published roadmap, and for escalations in line with the appropriate governance regime for deviations from that approved roadmap. Ensure product architecture and solution designs reflect the needs of the enterprise and work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, ensuring alignment with group architectural strategy, standards, and policies. Responsible for engaging and leading the enterprise architecture and design practice at the DevOps team level, with secondary reporting line to the Chief Architect for all matters relating to the practice. Work with the Service Quality Manager and control functions to ensure that products and services are built to provide the required levels of availability, functional capability, and non-functional capability, and systemic operational issues are addressed in the design lifecycle. Responsible for ensuring that platform and solution architectures are cost-effective. Work with Technical Product Manager, Solutions Architect, and Technical Leads to turn overall business requirements into more detailed stories. Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing, and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand. End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey. Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction. Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data. Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality. Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have excellent domain knowledge. Work with Ops, Dev, and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change. Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by the leadership of the DevOps team. Ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered. Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement. Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies, and areas like cybersecurity and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency, etc. that are applicable. Requirements Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in architecture and full stack engineering. Experience with automated testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery, and agile development methodologies. Strong knowledge of current tools, technologies, and areas like cybersecurity and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency, etc. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take a complex issue and break it down into manageable parts. Experience in end-to-end product or service delivery, from ideation to production, is a plus. Knowledgeable on Machine Learning and Gen-AIHSBCAL/GZ*
