Typical Duties:

This position will be responsible to lead a regional team of technical experts and operate as primary technical advisor and product advocate for the sales activity and meet customers’ individualized needs. The incumbent will provide innovation and leadership direction to regional teams. He/she will collaborate in monitoring emerging technology trends & translating them into business opportunities, working closely with other technical functions across the organization. Analyze marketplace information to assist in defining future product sales levels, potential customers and competitor threats at a regional level. Provide such information to senior leaders in an accurate and timely manner. As team leader, work with team to develop OE customer low voltage product roadmap, OE customer product function requirements and translate the inputs to product design team for new product development. As the technical expert, the Product Application Engineer is one technical liaison between the customer and Clarios; as well as the key contributor in leading the development of technical elements of RFQ's (Requirement for quotation) and proposals. Interface with external Engineering, Purchasing and Development, maintain positive and proactive relationships with customer decision-makers to ensure that Clarios products and services are selected and specified by customers to the maximum possible extent. Support in developing sales and service contracts with key customers. May participate as a technical support team member in discussions and negotiations with customers for products and services. Understand the customer’s strategy of EE Architecture and AUTONOMY to promote the low voltage batteries. Be technical partner of sales team and lead technical communication with OEM engineering team. Innovate product VAVE ideas and project implementation, continuous to drive product cost down. Engineering academy skills include product manufacturing process, product design. Improve current products to satisfy the increasing needs of customers. Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business. MBA Preferred Major in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or Electrochemistry/Application Chemistry. 8+ years of relevant professional experience Be familiar with automotive industry process and use related tools to manage projects. Experience in automotive of Electronic and Electrical Architecture, AUTONOMY and Battery management system (BMS) preferred. Ability to understand customer requirements and our products and then combine and translate that information into increased customer success Proven track record in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions and presentations, including technical concepts, to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs Ability to collect and research data, use intuition and experience to generate creative solutions, and use feedback to modify designs Experience in automotive OE customer engineering Good command of Chinese and English, being able to read and comprehend the professional materials in both languages. Good Oral and written communication skills (including English). Good interpersonal communication. Travel expectation is ~40% between Clarios and customers as necessary.
