What You'll Do:

As the Senior HR Director APAC you will play a key leadership role reporting to the CHRO and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources within the APAC region. This role provides strategic counsel and advice to the business and functional leaders with a strategic and hands-on approach to drive HR initiatives, develop and execute HR strategies, and ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives. The Senior HR Director APAC will lead a team of HR professionals to deliver quality HR services to the region and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the strategy and competitive landscape for the region and deliver HR plans to enable the organization's growth, foster a positive work culture, and attract and retain top talent. The Senior HR Director APAC serves as a key member of the HR Leadership Team.

 

 

What We're Looking For:
 

Build and sustain trusted advisor / business partner relationships with business / function leaders in the region. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's objectives and regional objectives to drive organizational success.

  • Provide guidance and support to leadership on HR matters, including talent management, employee engagement, performance management, labor relations and organizational development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure HR policies and practices comply with country/local laws.
  • Convert business / function strategies into a regional HR strategic plan and execute initiatives.
  • Maintain a regional view for determining talent requirements / identifying and resolving issues and associated HR approaches that work for the region.
  • Provide talent and performance management guidance to regional business / function leaders, in terms of coaching, counseling, career development, performance interventions, job design, crisis management, etc.
  • Identify root cause and execute plans to resolve people, productivity, and performance optimization challenges for the region.
  • Analyze regional workforce trends and partner with Center of Excellence (COEs) and global HR Partners (HRPs) to develop solutions for risks and issues related to talent attraction / retention, employee engagement, etc.
  • Partner with COEs to plan and deliver succession planning, talent reviews, salary planning, and learning needs assessment & delivery for the region.
  • Support global HR partners (HRPs) to deliver talent planning, organization design, and change management initiatives for the region.
  • Represent needs of the region, providing input and feedback to compensation / benefits program design, effectiveness, communications, and deployment strategy.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
  • Partner with Global Labor and Employee Relations Leader to develop and implement APAC employee relations strategies and initiatives to promote positive employee relations across the organization.
  • Serve as the Regional point of contact for APAC HR country leaders, providing guidance and support on country HR and business employee relations matters and ensure country employee relations strategies and initiatives are deployed.
  • Stay up to date with changes in labor laws and regulations and advise management on the potential impact on the organization.
  • Monitor labor market trends and provide insights and recommendations to management regarding strategies and practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Provide direct oversight for regional Site HR teams and ensures that HR execution activities serve the business well and remove barriers as required.

  • Provide coaching and guidance, develop team capabilities, and support individual / team development needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws & regulations within APAC and HR policies and adhere to global HR policy / process requirements.
  • Ensure regional HR teams’ full understanding and preparedness to enable the business / function and HR strategies, as well as successful roll-out of global HR projects and initiatives.
  • Enable alignment and collaboration across countries and regions, and drive complexity reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Drive alignment and execution of HR Operating Model across region.
  • Oversee HR data management, compliance, reporting, and analytics for the region to provide insights for decision-making.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of HR experience in a senior HR Leadership role, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • Experience working closely with Business and HR leaders to establish strategy, programs, tools, policies, and processes.
  • Experience acting as a change agent, strategic advisor, and collaborator with business / function leaders to champion HR standards and influence business plans and priorities
  • In-depth knowledge of country labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment, adjusting priorities and managing time wisely.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Candidate must have the executive presence to represent the HR function in internal and external leadership forums.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address and resolve issues.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and Human Capital Management system.
