RINA is currently seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist to join its team in China within the Energy Project Solutions Division.

Mission

The Senior Site Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing project execution, focusing on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Efficient Execution of Activities:
    - Oversee and ensure efficient execution of all assigned activities, meeting project goals and deadlines.
    - Ensure proper non-conformity detection and recording, as well as relevant corrective actions implementation, if needed.
    - Attend job walks and bid meetings as required to assist in determining site conditions and developing the scope of work.
  • Compliance Management:
    - Maintain strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protection, RINA Quality Management System (QMS), and OHSE Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
  • Safety Measures and Compliance Advisory:
    - Advise Site Operations Managers and Customer Site Managers on additional safety measures to enhance work methods.
  • Participation in Environmental and Safety Programs:
    - Actively support and participate in the organization's environmental and safety program, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution:
    - Effectively communicate with Site Operations Managers and Customer Site Managers about field work problems.
    - Assist in promptly resolving issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Accident Reporting:
    - Report any accidents and near-misses promptly to the Site Manager and the Rina OHSE team following appropriate channels.
    - Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
  • Job Scheduling and Performance Oversight:
    - Regularly communicate with the Site Operations Manager regarding job schedules.
    - Report performance issues and collaborate on effective solutions.
  • Scope of Work Changes Identification:
    - Assist the Site Operations Manager in promptly identifying changes to the scope of work.
    - Ensure timely communication and documentation of scope changes.
    - Collaborate with department managers regarding equipment problems.
    - Provide input and insights to facilitate effective decision-making related to equipment.
  • Leadership and Decision Support:
    - Provide leadership and support to ensure effective decision-making.
    - Offer insights and recommendations for improved operational efficiency.
    - Attend job walks and bid meetings as needed to determine site conditions and contribute to the development of the scope of work.

Education

High School Diploma/GED in General Studies/Other

Qualifications

Experience:
- Extensive experience in construction management, with a significant portion in leadership or supervisory roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects.
Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with the latest construction technologies and methodologies.
Safety Certification:
- Certification in safety management or relevant safety training programs.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and standards.
