Technology Audit Manager - Shanghai

The Technology Audit Manager will be based in Shanghai (China), reporting to the China Technology IA Team Head. This role involves overseeing the audit process with a focus on technology governance, regulatory compliance for technology operations, and local IT risk management and operations.

The Technology Audit Manager will provide technology audit coverage for all Citi China businesses and functions, including Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Trade & Treasury Solutions, and various support functions. The position includes responsibility for auditing key systems processes that support Citi China businesses globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers high-quality audit reports, Internal Audit and Regulatory issue validation, branch examinations, business monitoring, and governance committee reporting.
  • Manages and executes audit activities for a component of a product line, function, or legal entity at the regional or country level.
  • Applies expertise in the Bank's businesses, leads teams, and advances integrated auditing concepts.
  • Develops senior line management relationships, understands business dynamics, and navigates the control environment effectively.
  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, demonstrates judgment, and offers valuable insights.
  • Participates in business initiatives, advises on change, and provides solutions for complex audit control issues.
  • Collaborates with other audit teams to achieve collective objectives.
Qualifications:
  • University degree or equivalent. Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) are a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years senior-level experience in a related role with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in technology application control disciplines and banking business understanding.
  • Experience in managing teams and delivering internal audit and assurance projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills, exceptional communication abilities in English and Chinese.
  • Clear understanding of China's IT audit and IT risk management regulations.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.
