The Senior Internal Audit Manager is a crucial member of Internal Audit team. The role reports to the Vice President of Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management, and functions as the APAC regional for operational, financial, and compliance audits. This is a player-manager role that includes conducting audits and managing and developing a team of Internal Auditors.

Description

The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in the SOX program and operational auditing and work individually and in a team environment. He or she will manage or execute audit engagements of varying complexity and act as a resource for colleagues and other team members with less experience. This role's success is defined by strong technical knowledge of SOX and operational audit, excellent written and oral communication, the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders at various levels within organization to achieve audit objectives.Regional head for APAC operational, financial, and compliance audits, including collaborating with the global IT Audit Manager and EMEA and NA Regional head on audit engagements.

Represent the Internal Audit Department throughout the Company as a business partner and change agent.

Proactively develop an effective relationship with all stakeholders including, Finance. Accounting, Tax, Legal, Regional head, other corporate functional head, and External Auditors. Understand, anticipate, and balance the competing priorities of stakeholders.

Oversee the execution of individual audits defined in the audit plan ensuring the level of service quality and business satisfaction.

Drive change management by assessing, developing, and deploying processes and process innovation supporting the function of internal audit.

Work with the internal team and external partners to document and assess current processes, identify key risk areas and potential control gaps, and provide insightful recommendations to drive business and operational performance.

Assist the CAE in Internal Audit Department administration including, people management, budget development and review, daily and annual scheduling, expense report review and approval, etc.

Enhance stakeholder reporting (e.g., quarterly Audit Committee updates, audit project deliverables) and provide visibility and analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs), along with recommendations for continued improvement, quality, and consistency. * Help shape and nurture Internal Audit's team culture, inclusion, sense of community and connectedness.

Develop and run an Internal Audit by implementing action plans related to risk assessment and annual planning, audit execution, audit reporting, staff recruiting and development, third party coordination, audit technology, and Audit Committee reporting.

Proactively inform executive team of high-risk exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring attention.

Establish direction and coordinate Internal Audit activities with those of the external auditors to ensure optimal risk coverage, eliminate duplicate efforts, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of audit activities.

Perform follow-up procedures on prior audit findings and work with management to ensure timely completion

Assist in identifying and developing audit techniques, including continuous control monitoring (CCM) solutions, data analysis, and monitoring leveraging our various platforms

Assist or lead Compliance projects and investigations in partnership with the Compliance function

Foster and maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment

Profile

Minimum Requirements:

Audit professional with at least twelve years of solid experience, with a minimum of four (4) years in a senior level audit head role conducting operational and financial audits at a large, multi-national public company is essential

Experience supporting teams in change management, strategy development, operations, reporting or related areas

Experience identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements

Experience influencing and supporting stakeholders and managing business processes

Prior history of working with SOX testing methodologies, COSO framework, and PCAOB standards

Result-oriented; proactive; possesses the key standards of ethics and integrity

Excellent project management skills with an ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines

Strong command of the English language and outstanding communication skills, both written and oral

Capacity to discuss audit findings and control gaps effectively and confidently with management and develop business-focused recommendations to strengthen controls essential

Experience in the use of data analytics is required

Basic understanding of IT General Computer Controls is required

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships at all levels to stay aligned with changes within the company and to respond to new opportunities

Experience at a fast-paced, global company Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or Accounting * CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIA designation required
