Join Our Team as a Distribution Team Leader at Waters Corporation

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the China Distribution Team in efficiently fulfilling orders and ensuring timely delivery of products to both internal and external clients.
  • Manage a team responsible for Warehouse Operations, Trade Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain coordination & Planning/Buying.
  • Develop the workforce of the China DC to meet service standards and Waters corporation practices.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound flows, warehouse operations, and freight cost minimization.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with 3rd party warehouse and logistic vendors, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
  • Manage inventory levels, optimize warehouse space, and work on cost control.
  • Create annual operating plans and ensure alignment with warehousing & logistics costs.
  • Collaborate with finance to analyze cost variance and prepare forecasts regularly.
  • Work closely with Greater China WD team to ensure supply plans align with sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance standards are met for quality and trade/customs regulations.
  • Engage in the adoption of tools like SAP to enhance distribution services and processes.
  • Track external developments in China's transportation sector and communicate their impact.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects using Lean methodologies to optimize costs.
  • Enhance Waters' global distribution capabilities in China in coordination with other global operations.
  • Contribute to global freight RFQ team and Waters division freight improvements.
  • Develop multi-year logistics strategies to support China's business growth needs.
  • Lead or actively participate in global programs and oversee implementation of transformational strategies.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain, distribution, logistics.
  • Experience in a managerial role with a logistics service provider or a manufacturing company.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set an example and drive performance.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in data handling, analysis, and report generation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial processes, ERP systems, and planning concepts.
  • Effective at managing multiple projects and day-to-day operations.
  • Adaptable thinking that can align business requirements with operational capabilities.
