Let's connect: We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to head the Hannover Re Shanghai Branch in China. Your primary responsibility is to lead Hannover Re's teams in China with strategic vision and expertise.

Lead the team to achieve high engagement and performance at all levels Create and maintain an environment of respect and trust within the local management team and the staff as a whole Develop and implement the local strategy in alignment with the group strategy, in collaboration with the P&C and L&H business Supervise underwriting operations and coordinate with Business Centre heads regarding underwritten business Be the key representative of the Hannover Re Group in China and regarding Chinese business Ensure excellent collaboration with the various group functions in the Hannover office and with other Hannover Re offices where necessary Build and maintain trustful relationships with local regulatory bodies, the external auditors and other stakeholders

You come equipped with

At least 15 years experience in senior industry roles including significant experience in reinsurance underwriting - having both L&H and P&C experience would be a considerable advantage Excellent leadership skills proven in senior managerial roles as well as a proven track record of developing and motivating high performing teams Strong ability to define a strategy and vision, and to empower and guide others to achieve common goals Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate complex relationships Strong knowledge of global and local trends that will impact the chinese reinsurance market/business Experience in harnessing the power of data and technology to innovate and drive positive change Positive track record in collaborating across an organization Excellent understanding of Chinese culture and ability to communicate easily with all stakeholders
