Job Description

Looking for **Structural & Mechanical Quality Inspectors** to work with **Star Trading Co. Ltd Shanghai**. Your main task will be to ensure the quality of structural and mechanical work at manufacturers' facilities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct onsite structural and mechanical inspections.
  • Act as QA Single Point of Contact for projects when needed.
  • Assist in finalizing Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Follow the project schedule set by the QA Team.
  • Report any non-conformance and rectification work needed.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and audits.
  • Keep records and submit inspection results timely.
  • Engage with manufacturers to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of inspection procedures.
  • Adhere to HSSE rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction and cost optimization.
  • Comply with company regulations and Code of Conduct.
  • Represent the culture and values of the company.

REPORTING:

  • Report to the Project Single Point of Contact for inspection records.
  • Report to the QA Site Team Leader if assigned as Project Single Point of Contact.
  • Report to the Head of QA Department if no site QA Team Leader is present.

Work Location and business travel:

  • Primary work location: Sany Heavy Industry in Zhuhai China.
  • Travel within and outside China may be required.
  • Be prepared for domestic and international business travel.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection within crane manufacturing.
  • Must have AWS CWI certification.
  • Specialized knowledge in crane structural and mechanical work.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in quality inspection in crane manufacturing.
  • AWS CWI certification required.
  • Experience with third-party inspection companies or terminals is a plus.
  • Additional certifications in welding, NDT, or corrosion protection are beneficial.

Specialized knowledge:

  • Technical expertise in crane structural and mechanical work.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.

Communication & Language Skills:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • English proficiency for documentation and reports.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office.

Teamwork:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to achieving organizational goals.
