Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant Associate to support China Finance team.

This position will mainly support the preparation of tax and transfer pricing. Additionally, the position will support regulatory report automation in China.

The position forms part of the Asia Pacific Controller team, which is responsible for supporting the business on the regional strategy by identifying, sizing, and executing on growth opportunities and efficiencies at the top of senior management's agendas. The successful candidate will also be provided opportunities to participate and work on many strategic initiatives across the business in China and the APAC region.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Tax team for periodical filings, which include Corporate Income Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing, Withholding tax, Stamp Duty etc.
  • Support transfer pricing calculation, certification and related queries
  • Support report automation in China and closely work with other functions to ensure successful delivery
  • Familiar with NAFR and PBOC reg reporting instructions and China tax rules
  • Supporting external statutory account audits and periodic internal control effectiveness assessments for relevant tasks
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues, achieve goals and perform assigned tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Degree holder with 3+ years' experience in financial services or audit
  • Working experience in preparing regulatory returns and China Tax returns are preferred.
  • Strong technical skills including a good working knowledge of local regulatory reporting requirements, China GAAP, with exposure to IFRS and USGAAP
  • Experience with EAST, Riking and report automation are a plus
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Oracle/Essbase; SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Tableau a plus
