Manager, Global Segment Management, Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions Asia Pacific(005130)

Objectives:
Reporting to the Regional Head of Marketing for Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions Asia Pacific (APAC), you will:
- Play a key role in delivering a strategic view on premium segment strategy for the APAC region in alignment with the global strategy for the segment.
- Responsible for defining, strategizing, and implementing the customer journey with a differentiated segment value proposition for the Premium segment in APAC.
- Responsible for positioning the products, services, and solutions for the Premium segment regionally in view of the market and competitor landscape, delivering contribution margins and volumes, and owning the marketing plan for the Premium segment in APAC.
Main Tasks:
Segment Strategy:
- Understand the customer segmentation at region and country levels.
- Define, strategize, and implement the customer journey with a differentiated segment value proposition for the segments.
- Define portfolio guidelines such as brand offering, price positioning, completeness, and complexity.
- Develop segment specific pricing strategies by region and brand in scope.
- Hold responsibility for strategy implementation, profitability KPI and volume development by segment.
- Provide guidance/ strategic view to country on launch of existing product line but a new segment.
- Makes sure that training offer and communication content are supporting the implementation of the segment strategy.
Portfolio Offer:
- Develop and align the total offer for a segment (product, color, solution, equipment, digital) including differentiation Service Catalogue.
- Work closely with global digital, business solutions, color solutions, training, equipment to provide regional inputs for new product launches.
- Own the marketing plan for a segment.
- Develop the brand positioning content as outcome of segment strategies.
- Make sure that training offer and communication content are in line of the implementation of the segment strategy.
- Initiate phasegate process for innovations, coordinate the pilot phase and own the launch phase and the followup on the success.
- Responsible for project management of new product/ project / color solutions.
- Ensure the country registrations are included as part of launch package.
- Ensure the right equipment is available in regions for new product launches such UV lamps.
- Provide launch support for new products including the selling stories, fact sheets, marketing collaterals, videos, documents including technical data sheet and safety data sheet to regions and countries.
Market Intelligence and Competitor Landscape:
- Develop a view on key segment competitors in the region.
- Understand how new trends would impact the segments. For instance, RADAR/ LIDAR, automatic mixing machines, and digital.
- Take part in global communities to foster the regional view including bridging the gap between global communities and local country teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; Master in Business Administration is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing, Strategy, Technology and Product Management is preferred.
- Experience in refinish industry with a solid understanding of products, solutions and services is an added advantage.
- Crossfunctionally working experience and customer centric.
- Strategic mindset with a strong drive for implementation.
- Ability to connect with various stakeholders across country, region and global level.
- Ability to structure things and communicate well through wellstructured presentations.
- Strong project management skill.
- Ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority.
- Flexible working in an international environment including travelling.
- Fluent in English.
