Corning's Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays ("LCDs") that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose of the Position:

 The BOD Control engineer provides day-to-day support to production, to ensure that the manufacturing lines are configured to produce products in optimal fashion.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 Provide trouble shoots to process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and corrective actions.

 PLC coding experience, trouble shooting and process improvement.

 Lead developments and propose engineering programs in electrical and control engineering that can improve or enhance the current process capabilities.

 Support process development and optimization efforts

 Supports new technology migration through equipment installation, process optimization and documentations.

 Lead data foundation (Digital relative) optimization to support higher productivity and work efficiency.

Project involved with:

 BJ BOD upgrade during repair; new function/equipment migration.

Education & Experience

 Bachelor's degree above, major in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or other engineering related

 2-5 years' work experience preferred

 Control engineering skills

 Familiar with PLC coding system

Required Skills

 Familiar with electrical execution unit and control component application, inverter, Servo Motor, sensor, signal transmitter, etc.

 Familiar with PLC and HMI programming, mainly is Mitsubishi, AB Rockwell is Plus.

 Familiar with Robot motion system, FANAC is Plus.

 PLC coding, maintenance and trouble shooting.

 Strong process management skills such as problem definition and data driving.

 Skill in database application and development like VBA or SQL or Python skill is plus.

Desired Skills

 Expertise in Modern Control System Design (architecture and detailed level design) including Field device, PLC, HMI, SCADA, Servers and PI system, system communication protocol design including CC-Link, Device Net and Ethernet.

 Strong understanding of process controls system including conventional PID control

 Knowledge of Process trouble shooting & prevention & data-drive, and root cause finding

 Skillful in operation activity

 International & multi-culture communication, coordination, and follow-up ability

Soft Skills

 Logic thinking

 Good presentation and reporting skill

 Strong ownership of achieving team goal

 Work independently by him/herself and work well within team group
