Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Design persuasive approaches and proposals to convert potential clients into business customers.
  • Work closely with product managers, sales and marketing, technical support staff, and senior-level management to manage the activities of workers charged with developing business for the corporation.
  • Serve as a vital member of the product management team and effectively network throughout the global product management organization.
  • Drive product line growth by developing and implementing growth plans and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the identification and development of clear, comprehensive, and compelling product strategic roadmaps in target segment markets.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products, services, business position, and competition to keep business competitive.

Business Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive new customer acquisition and market share growth within the building automation control sector.
  • Identify and build strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing customer accounts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Develop compelling sales proposals and presentations that showcase the value proposition of our building automation control solutions.
  • Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability.

Product Management

  • Provide effective leadership for product development with functional teams.
  • Consistently meet short and long-term deadlines.
  • Serve as an influential individual contributor and cross-functional team member.
  • Work closely with counterparts in Europe & US to coordinate & understand global markets.
  • Represent the views & trends of the valve and actuator market in Asia Pacific.
  • Provide supporting data & analysis showing the needs of the market in Asia Pacific.
  • Be an active contributor to localization and local NPI projects.
  • Help identify the right products.
  • Manage the data flow (forecasts, pricing, growth projections, etc.) to ensure a successful start-up.
  • Lead to identify the vertical market cross in the region.
  • Conduct necessary VOC activity to form customer value propositions (CVP).
  • Form a clear product requirement list by converting the CVP and working with other product managers to build an essential offering roadmap.
  • As a business advocator, partner with the regional Sales GM to drive product line growth by offering solution prospects.
  • Deliver product financial results through effective product management.
  • Establish clear market share, price, margin targets, and action plans to achieve.
  • Effectively manage product launches in close partnership with channel leadership and field sales organization.
  • Develop customer profitability analysis.
  • Develop effective product strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • Develop and effectively communicate comprehensive analysis of:
    • End-user and distributor needs and desires for relevant products and systems.
    • Commercial OEM needs and desires for relevant products and systems.
    • Current and anticipated competitive offerings.
  • Establish a compelling business case for new/enhanced product development plans.
  • Develop a complete financial plan for product development, launch, and growth.
  • Effectively anticipate competitive responses and prepare response plans.
  • Deliver effective NPI/Business Case presentations to gain the support of global products leadership.
  • Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps.
  • Actively engage in providing leadership and support to product development projects.
  • Rapidly address critical changes in the competitive environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English & Mandarin. Superior group presentation skills.
  • Four-year degree in business or engineering.
  • Minimum five years of experience in business development, product management, or a combination of both in the building automation control industry or a related B2B technology sector.
  • Experienced in leading and forming a business growth strategy and converting to the offering roadmap is must have.
  • Desire and willingness to be held accountable for delivering business results.
  • Strong computer skills, namely with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to drive growth and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
  • Be proactive and organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
