Job Title: People Specialist – Data InsightsJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled People Specialist – Data Insights to join our team in Chinese Mainland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our business processes comply with regulations and requirements, and will play a key role in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Regional People Manager in creating, reviewing, and implementing company policies across all departments in Chinese Mainland, including the Greater Bay Area.
- Continuously study country and local port laws and regulations, and maintain and update people policies to ensure alignment with legislative requirements, company values, and Headquarter guidelines.
- Ensure policies are clear, concise, and easily accessible, and that processes are in place for execution in the region.
- Manage the People department reporting framework, including collecting and tracking data, building statistical models, and conducting analysis of results and trends.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to examine specific data influencing business performance and productivity.
- Develop and maintain HR reports and data visualizations to provide insights for management decision-making.
- Support People department initiatives and projects that require data and research.
- Present reports and insights in visually attractive ways to facilitate user understanding.
- Prepare HR reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Degree in Human Resource Management or a closely related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in C&B or a similar role.
- Familiarity with China employment-related regulations, policies, and PIP law.
- Practical knowledge and experience in a Human Resources environment, particularly in payroll, insurance, work health and safety, is a distinct advantage.
- Experience working with a global matrix organization and familiarity with HRIS, such as PeopleSoft or Workday.
- Collaborative and energetic, with the ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Business acumen and curiosity.
- Data-driven and highly analytical, with the ability to translate data and trends into insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Advanced verbal and written English communication/copywriting skills.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using statistical modeling software, such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with HK social welfare, income tax, or related policies is a plus.
- High integrity, well-organized, and strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
