Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team at SBM Offshore. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Commissioning team and ensuring the successful execution of Commissioning activities on our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commissioning team and ensure the successful execution of Commissioning activities on our projects.
  • Develop and implement Commissioning plans and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate Commissioning personnel and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of Commissioning activities.
  • Ensure that Commissioning activities are properly planned, executed, and documented to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of Commissioning activities with other project phases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ensure that Commissioning activities are properly risk-managed and that all necessary safety protocols are in place.
  • Develop and implement Commissioning metrics and reporting to ensure that Commissioning activities are properly tracked and measured.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Commissioning personnel to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in Commissioning to ensure that our team is always at the forefront of Commissioning expertise.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering or Materials Science in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation disciplines.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Commissioning in the Oil and Gas Industry-related projects, with particular emphasis on FPSO's and significant experience as a Project Commissioning Manager.
  • Good communication, planning, and organization skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and make timely decisions even in difficult situations and changing context.
  • Availability to travel per project-specific needs (25+% of time).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is a must, and other languages are a plus.
