ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Commissioning Engineer at SBM Offshore, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning of complex systems within our offshore installations. This includes implementing SBM Safety standards, managing timelines, and ensuring the integrity of documentation.

KEY TASKS

  • Conduct multidiscipline commissioning activities for one or a group of complex systems, working closely with the project Completions manager to define the scope.
  • Ensure the Completions database is accurately populated, and ITRs assigned for equipment belonging to systems being commissioned.
  • Interface with procurement and engineering teams to prepare system commissioning and collect design data.
  • Resolve construction, fabrication, and commissioning issues in accordance with engineering documents.
  • Develop or review OTPs for systems being commissioned, and recommend improvements to Group management systems.
  • Assign responsibilities and set goals to discipline supervisors, and deputize the project Completions Manager as needed.
  • Manage punch lists of commissioned systems and refer to the Company lessons learnt database.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science.
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in Engineering and/or Construction and/or Project Management in the offshore industry, with a focus on FPSO/FSO Floating Production vessels.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
