Culinary Associate Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Associate to join our team at Park Hyatt Hangzhou. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist in providing healthy, hygienic, and varied food options to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking food according to menus and recipes, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet Hyatt Hotels Corporation standards.
  • Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and implement new menu items and recipes.
  • Ensure food surpluses and leftovers are used efficiently and effectively, adhering to set guidelines and policies.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring economical and timely food production.
  • Monitor food preparation and cooking methods, portion sizes, and garnishing to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Test cooked food before plate-up and service to ensure quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff use the right tools for the job and handle food-preparing machines safely and properly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
