Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Associate to join our R&D team at our Shanghai Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing laboratory synthesis, analytical, technical service, and manufacturing support to scientists.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Associate will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out laboratory synthesis and analytical tasks with minimal supervision
  • Providing technical service and support to scientists
  • Maintaining a safe operating environment and adhering to safety and environmental standards
  • Leading safety activities when appropriate
  • Formulating, setting up, and completing small experimental projects
  • Executing experimental programs with responsibility for quality of data produced and meeting agreed deadlines
  • Maintaining lab equipment and coordinating, troubleshooting, and modifying installations, experimental setups, and specialized equipment
  • Processing, organizing, and evaluating experimental data
  • Participating in the preparation and generation of reports
  • Providing technical advice and communicating regularly to customers and manufacturing partners

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A broad understanding of underlying scientific concepts related to the experimental work
  • The ability to formulate the experimental program in detail and troubleshoot and modify as needed
  • The ability to conduct routine presentations and adequately answer ad hoc questions

Education, Certifications & Licenses

The successful candidate will have:

  • HS Diploma + 8 years relevant experience OR
  • Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering/MLO/MBO Vocational Background + 7 years relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor of Science: Biology, Chemistry, Engineering + 6 years relevant experience OR
  • Entry level Master of Science
