ProVeg International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our innovation program in China. As the Innovation Program Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing programs and campaigns to promote alternative protein innovations and enhance the position of plant-based foods and other alternatives to animal products in a positive, pragmatic, and solution-focused way.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programs and campaigns to promote alternative protein innovations and enhance the position of plant-based foods and other alternatives to animal products.
- Manage reporting, compliance, and governance of a ProVeg-affiliated INGO in China, including developing annual goals, quarterly objectives, and key results (OKRs) and project plans.
- Cultivate and expand positive relationships with stakeholders, including government, corporations, academia, other non-profits, and funders.
- Organize and market events to promote ProVeg's mission and goals.
- Perform other related tasks as reasonably expected of the job holder's scope and level of responsibility.
- University degree in marketing, food, or health and nutrition, with experience in the food industry preferred.
- Interest in food systems transformation and its potential benefits, including environmental protection, public health, food safety, food security, and animal welfare.
- Talent to identify opportunities and synergies to scale up existing projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin Chinese (native level) and English.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in mainland China, with international work or study experience a plus.
- Ability to create and implement strategies and manage change effectively.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in professionally dealing with stakeholders from various backgrounds and seniority levels.
- Experience of working in remote teams located across the globe.
