Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Investment Director to lead our investment efforts in China, focusing on hard technology investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of evaluating and executing investments in the VC stage, with a deep understanding of the technology and innovation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the generation of deal flow, pre-select attractive deals, and execute investments in collaboration with the investment team.
  • Develop and maintain a valuable external network in China to source and assess deal flow, and establish a strong internal network of resources.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence and support investment principals/partners in adding value to portfolio companies.
  • Play an active role in shaping the organization of RBVC, supporting the management of the internal/external contact network, and contributing to the development of RBVC's future strategy.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, with a strong background in investment, technology, or a related field.
  • Technical or strategic/commercial experience, with a strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the technology and innovation ecosystem, particularly in China.
  • Strong personality, team ability, and mobility.
  • Ability to comprehend technology, understand technical and commercial challenges, and grasp business models.
  • Strategy & business development know-how, financial knowledge, and networking skills.
  • Strong English language skills, persuasiveness, credibility, and ability to act at senior management level.
