Position Overview:

The candidate in this role will engage in the metabolomics application sector for Orbitrap Astral and various HRMS or QQQ instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the commercial and technical support teams to enhance the LSMS business, with a particular emphasis on Orbitrap Astral for sample analysis, solution innovation, customer education, and on-site support, as well as marketing initiatives.
  • Provide substantial support and work in partnership with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for pioneering application development.
  • Gather insights on competitor offerings and relay this information to the commercial and business unit teams.
  • Contribute to the publication of application notes to bolster local and global mass spectrometry operations.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Proteomics, Metabolomics, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required; a PhD with practical experience in LC-MS techniques for proteomics applications is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in metabolomics applications or method development directly associated with Triple Quadrupole and High-Resolution Accurate Mass Spectrometry instruments.
  • This role necessitates significant interaction with clients, thus exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and a strong commitment to work ethics is required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% or more for business purposes.
