Sensory Research Expert for APAC and Global Innovation

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sensory Scientist to join our team in Shanghai, supporting the planning and execution of sensory tests, developing research strategies with regional and global stakeholders, and delivering customer excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of an internally trained panel for descriptive analysis
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities, including scheduling test requirements and collaborating with the Regional Sensory Manager
  • Analyze and interpret test results using statistical analysis, recording data and findings in an electronic notebook
  • Interface with key internal stakeholders and external customers to provide clear communication and interpretation of research findings
  • Protect intellectual properties by following policies and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science & Technology or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the CPG industry, with expertise in sensory research and statistics
  • Proficient in using sensory software and statistical packages, such as Compusense and SAS
  • Strong background in sensory and consumer research techniques, with ability to apply tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute multiple projects/work plans
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to write concise reports and verbally present complex information to non-technical audiences
