About the Role

The Principal Specialist will be the authority in one or more business/application areas, providing architecture-level solutions, cross-functional analysis, and design in application projects. This role will also oversee the work of Senior Specialists as needed.

Key Responsibilities:


• Analyze user requirements, existing and new business models, and provide solutions by fine-tuning existing subsystems or functional areas of systems and procedures (10%)

• Design systems and work aligned with security, compliance, and design principles, focusing on quality, evaluating, and conducting cost-effective solutions (20%)

• Translate business requirements (BRD)/function specifications (FS) to technical design requirements, including test strategy and quality assurance approach (40%)

• Prepare test cases/scenarios, conduct system testing, and implement schedules (5%)

• Analyze and solve technical problems aligned with applicable standards and guidelines (10%)

• Assist users in fully utilizing systems by providing training and clarification of problems (5%)

• Train junior staff on business and technical knowledge (10%)

• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:


• Be professional in IT or related disciplines

• Minimum 7 years of IT working experience, at least 5 years of system assessments

• Proficient in IT application development on at least one platform: Cloud platforms, Linux/Windows/Unix platforms, database platforms, Web/mobile applications

• 3 years of experience in team management (3-5 staff)

• Good command of English both in oral and written

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Problem-solving skill

• Strong insurance business background

• Collaboration spirit, stable, mature, willing to take ownership
