Role Overview

ProVeg International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our innovation program in China. As the Innovation Program Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing programs and campaigns to promote alternative protein innovations and enhance the position of plant-based foods and other alternatives to animal products in a positive, pragmatic, and solution-focused way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and campaigns to promote alternative protein innovations and enhance the position of plant-based foods and other alternatives to animal products.
  • Manage reporting, compliance, and governance of a ProVeg-affiliated INGO in China, including developing annual goals, quarterly objectives, and key results (OKRs) and project plans.
  • Cultivate and expand positive relationships with stakeholders, including government, corporations, academia, other non-profits, and funders.
  • Organize and market events to promote ProVeg's mission and goals.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
  • University degree in marketing, food, or health and nutrition, with experience in the food industry preferred.
  • Interest in food systems transformation and its potential benefits.
  • Talent to identify opportunities and synergies between projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin Chinese (native level) and English.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in mainland China, with international work or study experience a plus.
  • Ability to create and implement strategies and manage change effectively.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and seniority levels.
  • Confident in using digital productivity tools, including Google Workspace and project management software.
