About the Role

This is a newly created position within PepsiCo's R&D team, designed to drive seasoning innovation and deliver flavor solutions for the Asia market. The role will focus on developing and implementing flavor design strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flavor Design and Development

Deliver seasoning design per aligned 'Product Design Brief' for flavor innovation:

  • Convert consumer learning / insight or iCrave mapping into clear flavor brief & liaison with selected suppliers;
  • Lead sample evaluation with PD, sensory & marketing counterparts & finalize design in time per aligned agenda;
  • Engage supplier to deliver required documents per timeline;
  • Lead seasoning functionality to sign off to Operations;
Breakthrough Project Support

Assist whole flavor solution design for breakthrough projects:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative flavor solutions;
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities;
Supplier Management

Rectify seasoning functionality issue with suppliers:

  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues and improve seasoning functionality;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance supplier relationships;
Process Improvement

Identify opportunity to improve seasoning development process to be more effective & higher quality:

  • Conduct process analysis and identify areas for improvement;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality;
Documentation and Compliance

Assist technical dossier owner to maintain well-being of seasoning documentation:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of seasoning development processes;
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
Networking and Collaboration

Build a strong network with global seasoning team:

  • Collaborate with global seasoning team to share best practices and knowledge;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization;
Supplier Relationship Management

Manage a robust and sustainable win-win relationship with all core seasoning suppliers:

  • Develop and implement supplier relationship management strategies;
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive business growth and improve profitability;
Requirements
  • Education

Minimum bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Culinary Arts;

Asia Cuisine Knowledge

Preferred knowledge of Asia cuisine and flavor profiles;

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment;

Language

English language proficiency (upper-intermediate level);

Self-Motivation

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision;

Quick Learning

Quick learner with ability to adapt to new situations and challenges;

Sensory Qualification

Need to pass simple sensory qualification test;

Flavor Selection Experience

Worked in a role of selecting flavors or fragrance for a successful consumer products;

Supplier Management

Having managed suppliers in a frank and fair way is a must;
