Financial Operations Manager for US GAAP Compliance

Overview

Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer with over $8 billion in annual revenue, is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join its team in Shanghai. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for Corporate entities.

About the Role

As Financial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing full sets of accounting books under both Local GAAP and US GAAP to ensure compliance with Dover guidelines and regulations. This includes managing month-end closing, reviewing journal entries, accruals, and variation analyses. You will also deliver accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting and filings for Corporate entities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all financial data is accurately reviewed and compiled in line with Dover's guidelines and GAAP.
  • Manage month-end closing processes, including review of journal entries, accruals, and variation analyses.
  • Deliver high-quality internal and external financial reporting and filings for Corporate entities.
  • Support the external audit process by ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted on time.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity within the finance team.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and P.R.C. GAAP, as well as local laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in auditing, financial reporting, or accounting operations, preferably with an accounting firm.
  • CPA, CMA, or CIA certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and P.R.C. GAAP, as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of 180,000 - 220,000 CNY per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits. We consider several job-related factors when determining the pay rate, including responsibilities, work experience, education/training, location, and key skills needed for the position.
