Accounting Analyst APAC Senior Professional

As an accounting analyst, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the APAC region. This role requires a deep understanding of financial statements, technical knowledge of finance and accounting automation projects, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
You'll work closely with senior leaders in accounting, finance, tax, technology, and operations teams across multiple geographies to drive business growth and enhance processes. To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to anticipate and communicate risks to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the proper accounting of business activities and support month-end financial closing.
- Ensure the proper reconciliation of accounts and resolve aging items on time.
- Work with global and regional business finance teams to enforce accounting policies and procedures, maintaining adequate internal controllership.
- Participate in new business launch activities and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Support annual audits and work closely with internal and external auditors.
- Develop and implement ERP and accounting systems.
Requirements:
- University degree in business, economics, or accounting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, Alteryx, BlackLine, etc.
- Above 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably gained within an accounting firm or a medium to large international company.
- Experience working with IFRS or US GAAP and preparation of financial statements.
- Demonstrable ability to work under tight deadlines on critical projects.
- Detail-oriented yet able to understand the big picture.
- Fluent in business English, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications.
- Hold CPA or similar credentials.
- Experience in project management with exposure to SDLC and software testing.
- Strong priority management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum
