Job Overview

Responsibilities

  1. Lead Continuous Learning and People Development
  2. Plan and deliver EHS training to create the competencies needed to deliver the EHS program.
  3. Maintain current knowledge of EHS through continuous learning, which should include training and experiential learning.
  4. Continuous Process Improvement
  5. Participate in EHS inspections and audits.
  6. Facilitate incident investigations and advise management on appropriate corrective actions.
  7. Support and guide the management and direction of EHS programs.
  8. Establish & Track Metrics/KPI's
  9. Integrate reporting into existing business reporting systems to ensure employees, EHS teams, town hall meetings, etc. are informed of EHS performance, incidents, programs, and initiatives
  10. EHS Structure & Program Management
  11. Build action plans for the implementation of the organization's EHS programs and take a leadership role in delivering the organization's EHS goals and strategy.
  12. Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with, influence, and motivate the Plant Manager, managers, supervisors, and employees.
  13. Strategy & Program Development
  14. Develop, plan, implement, and maintain an EHS management system for the organization that meets the TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE) requirements, implements TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies, and TE specifications, and provides for continuous improvement in EH&S performance.
  15. Partner with TEOA leaders in the organization to integrate EHS into TEOA processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of EH&S experience required
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience managing EH&S. Preferably at a site level.
  • Experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing role preferred
  • Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and team building skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a Site
