Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Counsel

At Copeland, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Counsel to join our team in China. As a key member of our compliance program, you will provide legal support in the management of our compliance program in China with respect to Regulatory Compliance matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on a broad spectrum of legal issues, including Regulatory Compliance Matters in China.
  • Act as the Legal Approver in our Checkpoint program for appointed sites and assist in program development and improvement.
  • Assist in the development and giving training to employees relating to applicable regulations and material changes thereto.
  • Serve as the company's primary legal counsel and subject matter authority on various laws and regulations in China relevant to Regulatory Compliance Matters.
  • Lead significant inquiries from various parties or regulatory bodies, including investigations, subpoenas, and audits.
Requirements:
  • At least years of relevant work experience in a commercial and international field (in-house or private practice).
  • Experience in provision of advice on Regulatory Compliance Matters.
  • Licensed to practice law in China.
  • Comfortable working with senior management.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English and Chinese language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solution-finding, practical, with a strong eye for business, able to promptly provide clear inputs and mentorship and take reasonable risks.
  • Self-motivated and keen on getting involved in and exposed to all kinds of legal matters and business areas.
