Job Title: China Tax Specialist

Oracle is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Specialist to join our team in Beijing. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for performing indirect tax and direct tax filings for China entities, preparing and submitting tax computations and returns, and maintaining cordial and professional relationships with local tax bureaus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform indirect tax and direct tax filings for China entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare and submit tax computations and returns, tax settlement, tax registration updates, tax invoice verification, and reconciliation preparation.
  • Assist the manager in reviewing annual tax filing packages prepared by external tax advisors.
  • Coordinate with other functional teams to collect and collate required data and information.
  • Work with the manager to improve tax compliance processes.
  • Support the manager in addressing ad-hoc queries and notice requests from local tax bureaus.
  • Support the manager in regional or HQ compliance reporting requirements.
  • Assist the manager in providing information and support for projects within or outside the Tax team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of tax experience as a full-time tax professional or accountant with sufficient tax experience for multinational companies.
  • Advanced knowledge in tax, accounting, and finance, familiar with prevailing tax and accounting regulations, tax practices in China.
  • Familiarity with accounting practices and systems.
  • A standout colleague with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactive, and dedicated.
Competences:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax, or related.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral.
