Application Technology Innovator

Siegwerk is a leading supplier of printing inks and sustainable packaging solutions.
We are looking for an Application Technology Engineer to join our team in Shanghai, China.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a global leader in the packaging industry.
As an Application Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Pre-sales
Form an OFC team with the sales team to support customers in switching, testing, training, and promoting new products.
Follow up projects from an operational perspective.
Finger Print
Colour matching and spot colour formula creation to meet customer requirements.
Guide the performance verification of products in the laboratory and assist in production of new products and process control in the workshop.
Formulate QC parameter standards according to customer product application requirements and assist in quality control.
Optimize, guide, and promote product application.
Cooperate with TD team to complete new product launch, trial/on-site test, and ramp-up plan, and propose product improvement plan where required.
Technical Service
Support Business Unit sales/Technology strategy and objectives.
Continuously pay attention to local market and competitors' trends from a technical perspective and provide effective suggestions to respond to market and customer needs.
Efficient and effective customer technical support in regard to applications and solutions.
Cooperate with application technology team, sales team, and R&D team to provide application recommendations and technical solutions according to customer needs.
Troubleshoot on line. Handle customer complaints and resolve quality issues at customer sites to minimize financial impact to our business.
Support internal and external technical discussion, product training, and product promotion.
Others
Raise AT relevant reports efficiently and timely per request: monthly report, visit report, and other assigned work report.
Use digital working tools during daily work, i.e. Sales Funnel, Ink-portal, SAP, office, ink formulation, etc.
Requirements
College or above in printing, chemistry, and machinery relevant industries.
1-3 years of working experience in printing ink related industries. New fresh students can also be considered.
Be good at offset printing, UV ink, and master various printing applications. Understand how to solve printing problems of offset. Familiar with flexography/letterpress/gravure printing is a plus.
Ability to adjust spot color ink formula.
Good English capability (both written and spoken), CET/4 or above.
Good communication & problem-solving ability and team spirit.
Good computer office skills (word/excel/ppt).
Hardworking, able to accept frequent business trips (30%-40%).
