Compliance Investigator - Asia

Job Description

As a Compliance Investigator in the Group Legal Compliance team, you will actively participate in, lead, and contribute to investigation activities in Asia to transform Legal Compliance with the company, anticipating its changing risk profile. You will lead complex and sensitive investigations and interact with senior management to address sensitive matters and trends.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of the Group Legal Compliance - Investigations team, with offices in the Netherlands, Panama, and China. Your responsibilities include:

• Lead and drive multiple complex compliance investigations in Asia.

• Write clear and concise reports for investigation findings and report outcomes to local and global senior management.

• Document findings and conclusions in line with prescribed tools and methods.

• Interact and engage with senior stakeholders in the Area while successfully driving sensitive processes.

• Identify risk trends in Asia and translate them into learnings and solutions, sharing best practices and facilitating the risk owner and business manager to take decisions on remediation plans.

• Actively support global compliance initiatives.

You're the Right Fit If

• You have a minimum bachelor's degree (law or equivalent, accounting, finance, economics).

• You have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, with evidence gathering and investigative techniques.

• You have knowledge of the legal system and understanding of the language of the legal community.

• You have understanding of business information and financial reporting systems, accounting and auditing standards and procedures.

• You have proven experience of effective managing multiple complex tasks and senior stakeholders (locally and globally).

• You have proven experience of excellent interviewing and report writing skills.

• You have excellent communication and influencing skills, consistent and balanced behavior, and lead by example.

• You have experienced with data analytics (in Excel and Forensic tools).

• You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and with team spirit.
