Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Music Teacher to join our team at NBIS, a reputable international school in Ningbo, China. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging music lessons to students in grades K-12, following the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement music lesson plans that align with the Cambridge curriculum and meet the needs of students at different skill levels.
  • Contribute to the development of the music department's curriculum and resources, ensuring that they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Supervise and evaluate the music program to ensure that it meets the school's standards and strategic objectives.
  • Provide music-related extra-curricular activities for students, such as concerts, competitions, and talent shows.
  • Maintain a familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and stay updated on best practices in music education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • PGCE (with QTS) or an equivalent teaching license from the home country.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent successful teaching experience with IGCSE and A Level Music, preferably in an international school.
  • Extensive knowledge of music theory and the ability to teach it effectively.
  • Familiarity with the British education system.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspiring students in a stimulating learning environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Evidence of participation in regular professional development.
