Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Spectris Instrumentation and Systems Shanghai Ltd. (MP OpCo). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and foreign export control regulations, as well as maintaining and deploying the Group Export Control Compliance policy and supporting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform due diligence and compliance tasks in the local sales process, assessing the legitimacy of third parties and business partners.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal/compliance, and sales teams to ensure compliance with group policies related to third parties, export control, and corporate ethics.
  • Review daily orders for compliance with local and foreign export control regulations and manage various kinds of export compliance issues.
  • Assist with maintaining and deploying the Group Export Control Compliance policy and supporting procedures.
  • Provide advice on classification of products.
  • Lead periodic self-assessments or audits and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with anti-bribery/ethics and export and trade compliance regulations and internal policies.
  • Train locally based staff in compliance approval processes, corporate business ethics, and export control compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in legal/compliance/business/management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficient speaking and writing ability in English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly understand business needs and anticipate potential issues.
  • Maintain productive relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing initiatives within a diverse global organisation.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience in delivering training to a diverse global organisation preferred.
  • Experience in working in an international, highly regulated and commercial environment.
