About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts for luxury champagne products, growing profitability, and expanding existing business in national markets. This role will also oversee B2B business development, focusing on corporate clients in Guangdong province. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to achieve regional business plans, manage commercial and trading initiatives, and maintain existing customers while developing new growth points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key accounts for luxury champagne products
  • Grow profitability and expand existing business in national markets
  • Oversee B2B business development, focusing on corporate clients in Guangdong province
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve regional business plans
  • Manage commercial and trading initiatives
  • Maintain existing customers and develop new growth points
  • Work closely with distributors to achieve full-year depletion targets and outlet development
  • Assist in developing new quality accounts
  • Focus on potential accounts and promote Penfolds multi-coo concept to customers
  • Enhance brand visibility and execution in channels and diverse outlets
  • Build sales leads to develop new corporate clients in the region
  • Track sales forecasts and reports, and work effectively with routine sales management and scheduling
  • Align with marketing managers to develop and implement marketing strategies for target markets and applications
  • Liaise and network with relevant industry bodies
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and with integrity
About You
  • 8+ years of experience in the wine industry, with sales experience preferred
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English preferred
  • WSET 2 Level preferred
  • Wine and champagne knowledge preferred
  • Experience in dealing with demanding customer bases
  • Experience in luxury industries or networks with high-net-worth individuals
  • Mature business acumen, strategic thinking, and influencing skills
  • Effective negotiation skills, including researching and being clear of the needs of key stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong business financial understanding, analysis, and application
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Self-driven, growth mindset, and agile in learning
