Music Education Specialist

Aristotle Teachers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Middle School Music Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education, experience in leading student bands, and the ability to inspire middle school students in both classroom learning and musical performance.
Responsibilities
• Teach general music classes to middle school students, incorporating a variety of musical styles and theories.
• Lead and direct the middle school band program, including beginner and advanced ensembles, ensuring the band program meets both curricular and extracurricular goals.
• Plan and conduct rehearsals for the band, ensuring students are prepared for performances such as concerts, school events, and local competitions.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging curriculum for music and band classes that meets the needs of students with varying levels of musical ability.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their musical talents and creativity.
• Collaborate with other music and performing arts staff to organize school-wide performances and events.
• Maintain the inventory of musical instruments and manage the maintenance and procurement of equipment.
• Support the emotional, social, and academic development of middle school students in line with the schools holistic approach to education.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and upcoming performances.
• Stay current with developments in music education, including new teaching methods, music technology, and repertoire.
Requirements
- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE, Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school

- A competitive salary range of $53,000-$65,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
