About the Role

At Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Company Limited, we are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our Seller Compliance efforts in China. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to shape the future of e-commerce compliance and contribute to shaping the customer experience.

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong track record of driving results, excellent analytical thinking abilities, and the capacity to transform ideas into actionable plans. As a seasoned manager, you will leverage your expertise in international business, product management, and e-commerce to drive success and pave the way for a simple and frictionless journey for our Sellers to comply with regulatory requirements across the globe.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute the overall strategy and operations for driving Seller Compliance in China.
  2. Hire, coach, and develop high-performing Account Manager teams across 4 cities in China to meet business goals and drive continuous improvement.
  3. Build trusted advisor relationships with key influencers in the cross-border e-commerce community and decision-makers.
  4. Implement a Voice-of-the-Seller feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, features, and address pain points.
  5. Align and influence internal and external global partner teams to build best-in-class solutions that simplify compliance for Sellers.
  6. Exhibit strong leadership presence and command during meetings, effectively communicating with executives up to VP+ levels globally.
  7. Operate with significant autonomy and discretion, making critical business decisions in routine Seller engagements.
  8. Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations across Amazon's global presence.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or partner management within e-commerce or technology sectors.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and foster high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee programmatic business development efforts.
  • Successful track record of initiating and implementing cross-functional projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, strategic cross-functional partnerships, and collaborate with external industry-leading influencers and partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cross-border e-commerce compliance, product compliance, trade compliance, or global tax/European Value Added Tax (VAT).
  • Able to think strategically and execute methodically, making data-driven decisions.
  • Highly analytical, with demonstrated ability to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of cross-border e-commerce compliance and the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical execution. They must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with a strong bias for action.
