About the Role

This is a critical position within Abbott's Commercial Procurement team, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Commercial Distributor category in Greater China. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand and strengthen our distribution network in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Distribution Strategies: Create and execute plans to optimize our distribution network, ensuring maximum visibility and availability of our products across key distribution channels.
  • Manage Distributor Relationships: Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with distributors, driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction in coordination with Abbott's various commercial affiliates.
  • Monitor Distributor Performance: Implement robust performance monitoring mechanisms to evaluate distributor performance across key metrics, including weighted distribution, market/channel share, on-time delivery, promotion management, and sales force effectiveness.
  • Cost and Distribution Analytics: Utilize cost and distribution analytics to optimize warehouse utilization, stock replenishment rates, inventory holding, days on hand, and truck utilization.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Building: Utilize strong negotiation skills to establish and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with channel partners, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in distribution management, sales, or related role, with a proven track record in channel management, distribution network optimization, and strategic planning.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the Chinese market and distribution channels, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in technology and platforms related to channel management and analytics.
