Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive innovation within our data practices for strategic supply chain initiatives. This role is pivotal in collaborating with key stakeholders across various functions, including product design, sales, operations, and finance, to identify foundational insights and develop a roadmap for success.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will:

  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency of our supply chain network.
  • Model complex problems and extract insights using statistical and visualization techniques.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to effectively communicate insights to Operations, Sales, and Product teams.

This role requires advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of key metrics. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing analytical and statistical methods to address complex challenges and inform business decisions.
  • Extracting and manipulating data from databases (e.g., Redshift, MySQL) using SQL.
  • Mining data from log files through scripting (e.g., PERL, Python, UNIX).
Tool Development

You will also:

  • Create analytical tools, including deep-dive tools, user interfaces, metrics, and dashboards (Tableau/Quicksight).
  • Conduct thorough analyses and root cause investigations to resolve business inquiries.
  • Communicate solutions and methodologies effectively to senior leadership in both written and verbal formats.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper data capture and storage.
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency in programming for the extraction, transformation, and cleansing of large datasets.
  • Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with AWS technologies.
  • Expertise in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to bridge data and business requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage, analyze, and present results to senior leadership.
