This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive quality standards and procedures for welding materials and processes in our supply chain.
About the Job
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Quality Manager or leader with rich experience in welding, coating, and assembly manufacturing processes. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and collaboration abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Quality Standard Development: Establish and maintain comprehensive quality standards and procedures specific to welding materials and processes.
- Supplier Quality Management: Ensure supplier quality performance by conducting audits, evaluations, and periodic reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in welding supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
- Quality Control and Inspection: Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection protocols for welding materials and components.
- Compliance and Certification: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements related to welding.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field).
- Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Have NDT knowledge, NDT level II.
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager / leader or specialist, rich experience on welding, coating, assembly manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple priorities.
- Excellent English both spoken, read, and write.
Benefits and Other Opportunities
Vestas offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and other opportunities for career growth and professional development.
