Job Summary

The Application Development Manager will be responsible for working in various areas within the software development life cycle to develop and deliver written requirements, functional requirements, test plans, and/or executed test scripts as needed within Stryker's project process. This role will also be responsible for transitioning completed projects to support teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver written requirements, functional requirements, test plans, and/or executed test scripts as needed within Stryker's project process for multiple sites.
  • Manage solution deployment/enhancement schedules and milestones throughout initiatives across all application development and support teams.
  • Manage solution deployment/enhancement to Stryker standards, ensuring appropriate resources are available and communicating deployment status as necessary.
  • Provide support to business resources in a timely and efficient manner during UAT and Hyper Care sessions, and train other team members if they are facing any issues.
  • Investigate, implement, and maintain advanced system monitoring tools to ensure identified defects in SIT/UAT are fixed.
  • Develop and manage contracts with service providers to meet KPI and agreed targets, taking into account information security of third parties.
  • Lead the managed services team for development services and serve as an escalation point for the team.
  • Ensure smooth build-to-run transition of completed projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in application administration, development, or DevOps.
  • 5+ years of experience in MS SQL server database management and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, actionable plans.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and managing internal or external teams required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Good knowledge of SAP/Oracle/JDE/QAD and non-ERP related business processes required.
  • Good understanding of operational metrics, KPI, SLAs, and OLAs.

Travel Percentage: 10%
