Senior Risk Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Monitor and support the implementation of Conduct initiatives, ensuring that our team meets Conduct goals and addresses Conduct Risk through the roll out of the new conduct framework.
- Manage regulatory compliance-related initiatives and provide support to business teams on regulatory matters, control ownership, and advisory services.
- Conduct high-quality risk reviews and assessments, ensuring control design and operating effectiveness, and facilitating control remediation where required.
- Manage regulatory engagement and submission, producing regulatory reports to relevant regulators in a timely manner.
- Understand significant levels of regulations across broad portfolios, including IA, HKMA, SFC, and MPFA, and identify and understand the impacts of various policies and regulatory changes.
- Oversee the implementation of FIM policies relating to Regulatory Compliance and Conduct into well-written country procedures, BIM's, and DIM's, and own processes to ensure compliance.
- Balance control management and commerciality, holding stakeholders accountable for control performance.
- Communicate and monitor risk appetite in line with business requirements.
- University degree in business management, risk management, audit, and accounting or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and logical thinking capabilities, with a positive, dynamic, and open-to-change attitude.
- Attentive to details, independent, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure, with proven ability to influence others and drive quality performance.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English and Cantonese, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing and influencing various key stakeholders across HSBC in a matrix structure.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document the current state and provide recommendations.
