Financial Controller for China Operations

Position Overview

Finance and Accounting Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closing processes, while reviewing financial results and reports generated by the Asia Shared Service Center.
  • Ensure adherence to financial and accounting policies as established by Franke, as well as compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Supervise credit management, invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash collection processes.
  • Collaborate with the Asia Shared Service Center and Corporate Treasury on relevant treasury operations.
  • Guarantee full compliance with tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Global Tax, group controllers, and external advisors on tax and transfer pricing issues as necessary.
  • Organize and manage customs and VAT processes, including audits.
  • Coordinate audit activities with both internal and external auditors.

Controlling and Reporting Duties

  • Track business performance against established budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze and control revenue, net margins, and operating costs.
  • Enhance management's understanding of controlling insights while minimizing organizational expenses.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes effectively.

Business Support and Partnership

  • Provide analytical and commercial support to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Assist in the business strategy development process.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and clients to address credit-related issues in a commercially viable manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in the coffee system business and its value proposition.
  • Actively support business relationships and activities involving distributors and key accounts from a financial perspective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Proficient communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in financial management within multinational corporations; experience in trading businesses is advantageous, along with expertise in FP&A and commercial finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and controlling methodologies, policies, procedures, and tools, with a proven track record.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, capable of envisioning future scenarios and discussing various aspects and implications of issues.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, providing clear direction in complex environments.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, utilizing logical methods to address challenging issues with effective solutions.
  • Committed to a strong set of core values and principles, acting with integrity.
  • Mature and credible, comfortable engaging with senior executives within the organization.
