Position Summary:
ScentAir China is in search of a highly skilled professional with a robust financial background to spearhead our Finance Team in China. This role is pivotal in supporting the management team to meet the nation's strategic goals and performance targets.

Position Title: Finance Manager, China

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Regional Controller, Asia Pacific

Location: Shanghai

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive financial, accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting obligations for the operations in China.
  • Manage the month-end closing processes and reconciliations for group entities.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, management analysis, and liaise with auditors.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and professional entities regarding accounting, consolidation, and taxation matters.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team effectively.
  • Play a crucial role in transitioning from the current Accounts Receivable system to Syteline AR, including documentation, testing, and data validation.
  • Handle customer invoicing activities, including issuing credit/debit memos and establishing reserves, along with ERP responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable subledger.
  • Streamline billing, collection processes, and cash application functions.
  • Audit accounts deemed uncollectible to ensure all efforts have been exhausted before classifying them as bad debt.
  • Monitor aging balances and recommend write-offs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and clients to manage and resolve sales order holds/releases in compliance with internal policies.
  • Actively engage with internal teams to address outstanding Accounts Receivable claims and chargebacks.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Deferred Revenue and unbilled Accounts Receivable.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within sizable organizations.
  • Experience in factory accounting and familiarity with VAT regulations for export activities.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrate integrity and sincerity.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of ethics and responsibility.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
