As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be a key member of our team, responsible for promoting and maintaining quality in our aligned business areas. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our quality strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy quality strategies to achieve business goals, enhance reputation, and deliver customer satisfaction
  • Support the development and deployment of quality capability and culture within our aligned business areas
  • Deploy metrics, key performance indicators, and ensure appropriate governance and support is in place to drive quality performance
  • Understand relevant regulatory requirements and customer needs, and support the definition and implementation of compliance strategies
  • Provide proactive assurance that regulatory, business, and customer requirements will be met
  • Drive change to our operating system and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximize effectiveness, and eliminate cost and waste
  • Protect the business and customer through problem containment and resolution, and ensure necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified
  • Enable the aligned business to deliver a goal of zero defects through coaching and application of defect prevention methodologies

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified with relevant experience in quality and aerospace industry
  • Broad knowledge of product through the lifecycle
  • Knowledge and understanding of airworthiness regulations
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and 8D
  • Ability to influence and assess quality implications in a challenging operational environment
  • Well-developed customer and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of human factors and human performance
  • Experience of influencing and building relationships at different levels
  • Understanding of a positive safety culture and its promotion
