Quality Assurance Engineer for Automotive Industry

MAHLE is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Asia Pacific. As a key member of our quality management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are met across all our products and services.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in quality management methods, preferably IATF16949, 8D, and RCA. Your expertise will be essential in managing customer claims, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the automotive industry, preferably in the independent aftermarket sector. You should also possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Additionally, you should be proficient in IT tools such as ERP, CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
Key Responsibilities- Manage customer claims and complaints, including claim registration in SAP and coordination with different functions for quality-related topics.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
- Collaborate with warehouse QA for returned goods inspection and coordinate with supplier quality performance monitoring teams.
- Provide product test reports to customers and define corrective actions for non-conformities.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and provide regular updates to PLM & Purchasing teams.
- Report necessary KPIs and maintain accurate records of quality-related data.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Technical Management, or equivalent field.
- Strong knowledge of quality management methods, including IATF16949, 8D, and RCA.
- Experience working within the automotive industry, preferably in the independent aftermarket sector.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as ERP, CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
- Good English language skills for writing and speaking.
$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This salary range reflects the level of expertise required for this role and takes into account the average salaries for similar positions in the region.
