Vacuum Valve Assembly Technician

About this role:

  • Key responsibilities: Assemble vacuum valves and valve components, ensuring timely delivery of products with required quality and at a reasonable cost level.
  • Perform functional leak tests in accordance with specifications, troubleshoot, and solve any leakage issues during the leak test process.
  • Conduct visual inspections on supplied components, reporting any defects or abnormalities to line leaders, supervisors, and QA.
  • Perform final inspections and customized packaging for shipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and maintain 5S standards to increase productivity and ensure safety.

Responsibilities in more detail:

  • Perform autonomous maintenance on equipment, devices, jigs, and fixtures according to schedules, and report missing tools, jigs, and fixtures to line leaders and supervisors for replacement.
  • Manage optimum stock levels in finished goods stores and material kitting areas to meet demand and delivery requirements.
  • Properly set up and handle equipment, jigs/fixture, and parts with correct programs and parameters for assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
  • Maintain accurate information in PCS and D365 systems, including inventory, cost, quality, and delivery leadtime data.
  • Execute tasks according to procedures and work instructions, and record production status with accurate reports, especially departmental KPIs.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support quality issues, parts and component availability due to shortages, and critical delivery timelines by reporting to supervisors.
  • Other duties assigned by superiors.
